Natsu "e" Natsu (transliterated from ナツ"e"ナツ; Summer Summer from the unused sound file), is the 2004 Autumn-Winter song of the Seaside Stage. When the game was eventually revamped in the 2005 Autumn-Winter Collection, it was eventually removed for the time being.

It eventually returned in the 2006 Spring-Summer Collection as a song for the Special Stage, and stayed until the cease of operations of Oshare Majo Love and Berry with the 2008 Summer Collection.

Although it wasn't translated and dubbed outside of Japan, a sound file relating to this song in the 3rd-5th Collection ROM went unused. The official name of this song (from the sound file) is Summer Summer.

Lyrics Translated Lyrics

ブルー キラめく
なみまに うつるそら
ブルー ことしも
ふたりで このうみに
あなたがみつけた
ピンクのかいがら
いまでもだいじにもってるの
いつほてもいっしょだと
やくそくしてくれた
このピンクのかいがらに

まなつのたいようあびる
わすれないこのなつのひを
やさしいえがおみつめて
そうおもってる

どこほでも つづく すなはま
つないだ てを はなさずに
あるいて いくの ふたりで
あなたと このなつを

BLUE, the sky is
reflected on the sparkling waves
BLUE, we are in
this sea this year too
The pink shell you have found
I still treasure it to this day
We made a promise to stay together forever
In this pink shell

Let's sunbathe in the midsummer's sun
and never forget this day of summer
That gentle smile of yours I'm looking at,
That's what I look forward to

A sandy beach that lasts forever
Never let go of the connected hands
Let's go take a walk with the two of us
You and me in this summer

Meanings

Japanese

Natsu E Natsu (ナツ"e"ナツ): The Japanese katakana ナツ is the transliteration of Summer, which is one of the four seasons that comes around once a year. It's unknown what the English alphabet e stands for but it could be referring to as へ (may pronounced as え) if read in Japanese, a particle indicating direction or goal (e.g. To), or イー, the katakana for e and it refers to 良い, meaning Nice/Pleasant/Good.

Chinese

To Be Added

English

This song was never localized in the International version. Although, by translating the song title, it's translated as Summer "e" Summer. According to the unused audio, this song was given the name Summer Summer, of which is directly translated from the original title but the letter e is omitted. It's possible that the e is supposed to be read as but overall, the name would be odd. It's probably trying to convey that a new summer comes in every year, based on the lyrics context.

Trivia

  • This is one of the pre-2007 Autumn-Winter Collection songs that never got localized.
    • This is most probably due to being a song from the times before Love and Berry was revamped as a whole and that the Special Stage went the same direction as it did in the original Japanese rendition (to reuse old songs from older collections no longer being used).
  • It and Re-Born are the only 2004 Autumn-Winter Collection songs that have lyrics.
  • Despite not being playable in the game itself, a short instrumental version of Natsu "e" Natsu can be heard in Oshare Majo Love and Berry ~DS Collection~'s Story Mode.
  • This is the only song that has three versions: 2004, 2006, and full version.
  • Along with See You Again Tomorrow, they are the only songs that are not used in the game.
