First Appearance

2004 Autumn-Winter Collection

Petite Parka Knit (TM: 緊身連帽針織上衣 (Jǐn Shēn Lián Mào Zhēn Zhī Shàng Yī)/JP: ピチパーカーニット  Pichi Parker Knit) is one of Dress Up Cards that were introduced in 2004 Fall-Winter Collection/Version 1. It was taken out of the main roster from 2005 Winter Collection/Version 5 onwards but returns back briefly in 2006 Autumn Collection/Version 8 before it was later taken out again in the next collection.

After the cease of Oshare Majo and Version 12 finished circulation, Petite Parka Knit returns into the main roster starting Version 13 Classic (Which was the re-release/remake of Version 1).

Etymology

Japanese

Pichi (ピチ): The abbreviation of ぴちぴち, meaning bursting with youth and energy/energetic or Tight.

Pākā (パーカー): An alternative form of パーカ and the Japanese Katakana transliteration of the English word Parker, though it's misspelling of Parka.

Nitto (ニット): The Japanese Katakana transliteration of the English word Knit, referring to the knit on the parka sleeves.

Taiwanese Mandarin

Jǐn Shēn (緊身): Meaning Tight or Well-Fitting (of clothing).

Lián Mào Zhēn Zhī Shàng Yī (連帽針織上衣): This seems to mean Hooded Knit Jacket, as 連帽 seemingly translates to Hood;針織 means to knit or Knitting/Needlework; 上衣 means Tops or Coat/Jacket.

English

Petite Parka Knit: Petite could have possibly be derived from Tight, one of the ピチ meanings. It could also have been derived from Pichi of the same transliteration spelling, a dwarf armadillo whose name literally means Small.
